- Commissioned as Ontario Land Surveyor 1980 (Member No. 1512), articled to W. W. Lorenz, O.L.S.
- Commissioned as Canada Lands Surveyor 1994 (Member No. 1515).
- Member of Academic and Experience Requirements Committee, Association of Ontario Land Surveyors 1998 – 2004.
- Past Member of Loyalist College Building Science Advisory Board.
- Past Chair, Bayside Secondary School Council.
Business
- President of P. A. Miller Surveying Ltd., a professional corporation with eight employees, providing Boundary Expertise; Surveying and GPS services; and Land Development management in an area encompassing eight counties.
Experience
- Since 1982 have managed a growing business that operates from Lake Ontario to Algonquin Park. Clientele includes Federal, Provincial and Municipal Government, Public Agencies, Utility Companies, as well as private individuals.
Highlights
- Researched and prepared extensive reports on historical Boundary issues for:
- Parks Canada (Trent Severn Waterway)
- O.P.G. (various Hydro Electric Generating Stations)
- Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development (external Indian Reserve Boundaries)
- Managed a consortium of three Survey firms to complete an extensive project for the former Ontario Hydro, valued in the upper six-digit range. This was completed in a six week time span.
- Have appeared as expert witness in court and tribunal hearings in the fields of Boundary Retracement and Planning issues.
- Have completed some 7000 Surveys since Commissioning.
